WHAT IS CARA CATERS 501(c3)?
Thanks to wonderful donors like you, we have been able to officially launch Cara Caters, a 501(c3), which provides food-insecure children of our community with extra food during times away from school like weekends, holidays, & summer break.
Around 70% of the children in our community are on free & reduced lunch programs. This means most of these children depend on these school meals as their main source of food. When they are away from school, they most likely do not get enough food to eat.
This is where Cara Caters come in, to fill the gap. We want to ensure, with your help, that any child who needs it, may have access to our meal bags to supplement their nutrition.
