Capturing Meaningful Portraits in Age of AI with Chris Orwig - Los Angeles
About this Event
In a world flooded with AI-generated images, a real portrait of a real person matters more than ever. Sony Artisan of Imagery Chris Orwig has spent his career photographing people, from celebrities and athletes to families on their most important days. His approach is simple: make portraits that capture who someone truly is, not just what they look like.
In this lecture, Chris shares the three things that turn a good portrait into a meaningful one:
- Capturing meaningful portraits: how to see beyond the surface and create images with emotion, story and lasting impact.
- Connecting with your subject: how to build trust, put people at ease and draw out genuine expressions, even with someone you just met.
- Posing and lighting: simple, natural posing and lighting techniques that flatter your subject without making the image feel staged.
Chris is a natural teacher and storyteller, so expect a session that is as inspiring as it is practical.
