In this workshop, participants will learn how to translate the vibrant colors and forms of fireweed onto paper, enhancing their observational skills. Students will learn foundation techniques such as brush strokes, water-to-paint ratio, creating color washes, color mixing, wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, dry brush, gradient wash, ink-and-wash, and splatter.
Materials provided in the cost of the workshop: traditional and metallic watercolor paints, round watercolor brush, watercolor paper, watercolor palette for mixing, gold and silver gel pen, fireweed reference images.
