On 23rd March I lost a dear friend to Assisted Suicide. Caroline was one of the most active, independent, hardworking and fun loving people I’ve ever met. A talented equestrian and loving dog mum, Caroline suffered a fall cross country that resulted in a spinal cord injury that left her paralysed. She worked hard through intensive rehabilitation and physio, and even travelled to the US for Stem cell treatment. Unfortunately these were to no avail.
She is sorely missed and forever remembered for being the outgoing, stubborn, funny individual that she was.
Caroline’s brother, his wife and a small team of dedicated individuals are doing an 1100km bike ride called Cycle4Caroline, to raise much needed funds for Spinal Research and The British Eventing Support Trust.
So why am I telling you this?
Well, I’d like to do my own thing in my own way to raise money to support the cycle and the two causes! As Caroline was not only a horse and dog lover, but also a keen amateur photographer, the idea Captured4Caroline entered my brain.
So what’s the plan?
Well, I want to photograph as many horses as possible in a day and as Caroline was a bit of an adrenaline junkie, what better than action shots?! Langham Hall Estate have very kindly donated the use of their Gallops for the day which means we have an awesome venue to get awesome shots! So huge shout out and Thank You to Kate & Charlie!
The Location:

This all-weather gallop is just over six furlongs (1250m) long and is 3.5-4m wide. It is a high-performance cushioned surface which delivers improved levels of impact absorption and energy return

How it works/what you’ll get:
You will be allocated a 30 minute time slot to use the gallops. Whether you want to walk, trot or go full throttle. You will get 3 high resolution digital images of your experience for a donation of £15 per horse. Donations are required to be paid by bank transfer at the time of booking to secure your time slot. Please make the payment reference “Charity”. 100% of the proceeds will be going to Cycle4Caroline. Group Bookings are available at a maximum of 4 horses per slot
