What To Bring:
**these items are mandatory for transport Canada
Kayak & Paddle
PFD (must be worn at all times)*
Bailing Device (bilge pump, sponge...etc)*
50' of floating rope*
Quick drying clothing
Hat
Sunglasses
Sunscreen/Bugspray
Change of clothes for after paddle
All participants should know how to swim and manage themselves on a body of moving water. Footwear is encouraged, but flip-flops are not recommended. Don't be that barefoot person.
Our put in spot will be at the public boat launch off Woodstock Road, just past the Tim Hortons. We'll paddle downstream, loop around Jewett Island and stop off at Ross Island for a small bbq and beverages. Then we'll head back to the launch.
No alcohol will be permitted while on the water.
This event will occur rain or shine. Pre-registration is not necessary, though we'd appreciate an RSVP to gauge numbers.
Cancellation of the event will only occur in the event of high winds, extreme heat, or thunderstorms.
