It’s an exciting time to travel after the wet season has finished. The rivers, gorges, water crossings, and waterfalls are all in action, waiting for us. The schedule of places we visit can change depending on weather, access, road closures, Government guidelines, and time, but like you, we want to get to as many as possible.

THE OLD TELEGRAPH TRACK (OTT)
The OTT follows the original telegraph line through the Peninsula and was the only available route for much of the Cape’s history. This rough road is a 4WD enthusiast’s playground, accessible only during the dry season. It passes through beautiful country with several creek and river crossings, and patches of deep sand. Bush camps are set up at most creek crossings. The OTT is an integral part of this memorable journey, providing adventure, tradition, and stunning scenery.
Sky Road Trail only drives along low-risk sections of the OTT, but man, are they FUN! This includes low-level water crossings and creeks.

BLOOMFIELD TRACK
Described as wild but beautiful, the Bloomfield Track is a bucket-list trip for local and international 4WD enthusiasts. Flanked by pristine coastline on one side and ancient rainforest on the other, it starts 40km north of the Daintree River ferry and is around 100km long.

DETAILS
Our trip starts in Cairns. You must arrange your own travel to Cairns. Do not book flights until we advise you to book flights in writing. A minimum of 8 persons is required for the trip to proceed. This trip is advertised on multiple platforms. Insurance is not included. We recommend obtaining travel insurance for all travel within Australia and abroad. Sky Road Trail has terms and conditions that should be read before agreeing to attend a trip. Our T&C’s are listed on our web page www.skyroadtrail.com.
Hope you can join this enthralling trip to the Tip of Australia! 🌟
