For our April meeting, we are excited to welcome Chana Wiley with the Columbus Safety Collective, who will speak about CSC's upcoming ballot initiative. Come and learn about the proposed policy, the campaign, and how volunteers can help. Doors at 6:30pm, program starts promptly at 7:00pm.CSC has put an initiative on the May 5 ballot seeking to create a city-wide emergency response that would allow trained social workers, behavioral health professionals, peer supporters and EMTs to respond to certain behavioral health emergencies. It also establishes an advisory board to evaluate and work with the entire crisis response system. This would allow conventional law enforcement officers to focus more on violent crime.
