Cantos a La Milpa on Neblinas del Pacifico

Thank you for walking with us on this journey of sowing, tending, and harvesting our Milpa.

On October 25, we will  gather at our milpa at Seeds of Solidarity Farm in West Sacramento for a special event: a day of celebration and fundraising for the next Chicha Fest. Together, we’ll honor the gifts of the milpa, the river, the seeds, and our community—while raising funds in support for our next Chicha Fest.

The gathering has two major elements:

First, a Minga for Chicha Fest—where we will shell the corn, clean and prepare the milpa for the next planting, and create community art.

Then, we’ll celebrate with the powerful sounds of Neblinas del Pacífico, bringing to you, the rhythms of the Afro-Colombian Pacific coast—this event will be full of polyrhythms and harmonies that sing to spirituality, resistance, and everyday life.

Funds from this day will bring Chicha Fest 2026 to life.
