The Net Zero and Adaptation Business Partnership is hosting a series of breakfast events to help businesses respond to climate change and build resilience to its impacts.
Businesses are invited to attend the first event on Wednesday 21 October 2026 at Westgate Hall, Canterbury, CT1 2BT.
Hear from local organisations about how they are putting sustainability at the heart of their operations, learn what support is available, and have the opportunity to network with fellow business professionals.
Event programme
8am – Arrival, networking and pastries
8.30am – Main session: case studies, funding updates and resilience checklists
10am – Main session ends, followed by networking
Speaker topics include:
• B Corp insights: Chris Longden from Whitehead Monckton presenting on the value and process of B Corp certification.
• Sustainable infrastructure: Paul Mallion and Terry Thompson discussing the St Olave's Eco Store Hub and a Grade A sustainable office building.
• Climate risk: Catherine Morris from the University of Kent on why the university is developing a Climate Risk Register and identifying the impacts of extreme weather, and how this will inform future resilience and adaptation planning.
• Business support: Rob Robinson, Kent County Council's Sustainable Business and Circular Economy Programme Manager, highlighting the support available to businesses.
