Canterbury Choral Society Opens 75th Season

Our first concert, Oratorio di San Francesco, is especially significant since it is also the 800th Anniversary of St. Francis’ death in 1226, a year of special commermoration around the world. It is also significant to Canterbury, since we are the only ensemble to revive this monumental musical masterpiece since its first performances in NYC by the Met Opera in the 1916-1917 season.

This work will musically and spiritually move our musicians and audience to realize something powerful. Join us in supporting this incredible year of music and community making.
