Carlisle Cantate is a children’s community choir run from Carlisle Cathedral. Under the expert direction of Ed Taylor, Cantate continues to take part in the termly Singing Out concerts; but it has also developed a distinct identity of its own. Practising for just one hour on Thursdays in the Cathedral, we learn in a fun and relaxed atmosphere, and perform a huge range of music encompassing jazz, classical children’s songs, and hits from all the best-known musical films and stage productions, in a variety of different venues.At this special annual concert individual members of Cantate get the chance to perform solo and together in the Fratry Hall, singing everything from show tunes and pop songs to pieces form the classical repertoire. All are welcome to attend.
Tickets: £10.00 | Under-16s: Free with an accompanying adult.
