About this Event

The centerpiece for our concert is Florence Price's cantata Abraham Lincoln Walks at Midnight for choir, piano, and baritone soloist. Music by this extraordinary African-American composer is experiencing a deserved resurgence after being overlooked during her lifetime. Complementing the cantata are other choral works by Duruflé, Mahler and Stephen Foster.
