CANstruction Fundraising Event @ Common Roots Albany Outpost

We are excited to announce a partnership with Common Roots Albany Outpost to raise money for CANstruction. Join us for a fun event open to the public on March 21st -22nd, featuring food, drinks, activities, and the opportunity to win amazing raffle prizes. With a special appearance from the Albany FireWolves mascot Alphie on Friday! Support CANstruction and the Food Pantries for the Capital District and help us make a difference in our community. 🎉🍻🎟️

Raffle Information: All the raffle proceeds will be donated to the Food Pantries for the Capital District to help families in need throughout the Capital Region. Disclaimer: You don’t need to be present for the raffle drawing at 6 PM on 3/22. We will get in touch with you to pick up your winnings.

In addition to buying raffle tickets, you can bring 5 non-perishable food items and get a free raffle ticket (one per person).

What is CANstruction: CANstruction is an annual competition where architects, engineers, and students create large structures from canned food to showcase their talent and raise awareness about food insecurity. After the exhibit, all cans are donated to the Food Pantries for the Capital District. Last year, 58,000+ pounds of food and $45,000 were donated. The CSArch Team is the longest tenured team that has been a participant since CANstruction's inception in 2011.

This year's theme is "Lights, CANmera, Action" and the sculptures will be displayed at Crossgates Mall from May 6th to 20th. CANstruction is trying to reach major milestones this year by raising $75,000 and 35,000 pounds of food, bringing our all-donation totals to the Food Pantries for the Capital District to $500,000 and 1,000,000 pounds of food.
