Good morrow, dear sweet patrons of the TVs of Terrorverse! Christmastime has passed, and the new year has dawned. We are now fast approaching the season of love and tenderness, so you know what that means...CANDYMAN is coming!
In anticipation of the yearly exchange of romantic words and deeds for Valentine's Day, we're bringing out the big love guns with everyone's favorite obsessive and murderous love ghost - the late great Tony Todd's infamous Candyman, from the mind of legendary British horror author Clive Barker. One of the best modern American folk horror films - starring Todd and Virginia Madsen - Candyman concerns a Chicago grad student scouring a housing development for the origins of a ghost story concerning forbidden love between a slave and his master's daughter. Taking the hunt a step too far, she summons the ghost, who becomes obsessed with her and proceeds to wreaks bloody havoc with her life.
Included with the screening is another rip-roaring adventure in the Terrorverse, featuring fan-favorite Baron Mark Wilson von Pop-Topp! We'll have all the regular goodies and gags for the opening feature of 2025, and maybe even some prizes.
