π¬ Candy making was a common winter activity in a farmhouse kitchen. Candy was a delicious treat to gift to friends at the holidays, and many flavors were used throughout the year as medicine. π¬Come drop in the Production Kitchen of the farmhouse to watch Wayne make candy and learn about the process on Saturday Nov. 30 and Sunday Dec. 1 from 10:30-2:30 both days.
π¬ New this year: Stop in the KCF Visitors Center to learn about how different plant oils were used in candy as medicine in the past! You'll get to sample different candy flavors as well, and not just the flavors used as medicine π
This event, including candy tasting, is free and does not require registration. Suggested donation of $5/adult for entry to the farm.
