🎶 Mundombe Tribe's Free Drum & Dance Open Day, Sun June 7! 🤩
We’re opening the circle and inviting YOU to come enjoy some big bang noise, heaps of moves and bigger smiles! Step into the world of Afro-Uruguayan Candombe, a tradition of powerful drums, lively dance, and community spirit!
✨ What to expect?
🪘 Learn the Candombe drumming beats of the three types of traditional "tamboriles"- Piano (Bass), Chico (tempo) & Repique (Improvisor)
💃🏽 Dance workshops where you’ll learn the grounded movements and different characters of the carnival.
🎉 A fun way to connect with a unique culture, rhythm, family and community energy.
🗓️ Sun June 7, 10:30am -Drummers Workshop (Drums will be provided but are limited)
11:30am - Dancers Workshop (to Live drums)

🤔What to bring?
Just comfortable clothes, shoes & possibly personal ear protection, (Drums can get loud)
💸How much?
Open day is completely Free for the first time, and if you’re interested in joining the group more regularly it's $15 a session.
🏫Where is it?
Held in the awesome tango and dance studio, "The New Robles Studio" Level 1, 277 Queensbury St, Carlton. Parking is usually available on the side streets with P.T right around the corner.
