Join us for the 2025 Fun Walk benefiting Candlelighters. Candlelighters serves children with cancer and their families receiving treatment in the Texas Medical Center.
All of our services and programs are FREE to these families. Funds raised from the Fun Walk help with all of Candlelighters programs and services provided daily for childhood cancer families; including:
*hospital parking assistance
*emotional support from families who have had their own childhood cancer journey
*meal passes and groceries
*gas cards
*and so much more!
Candlelighters programs and services are provided to any and all families with a child who has received a cancer diagnosis. As cancer affects the entire family, all our programs and services include the ENTIRE FAMILY - because one day, cancer will be gone, but our families will be here forever.

*This is a 1-day event on Saturday, 9/6/2025, with Check-In starting at 8 AM and the Walk starting at 9 AM. The Facebook Event Page will remain open until September 20th for people to post photos and comments!*
If you're unable to be with us at Terry Hershey Park, you can still join us!! Walk when and where you can, and know that each step you take, you are walking alongside childhood cancer families.
This year, we are challenging you to take 5,551 steps on Walk Day (about 2.5 miles) - each step represents a Candlelighters family - a family who Candlelighters has provided support for during and after their child's cancer treatment; support for the child with cancer, the parents, and the siblings!
