Yoga nidra', variously meaning 'yogic sleep', 'psychic sleep', or 'sleeping consciously', is a meditative procedure whose goal is to transform the mind and body. The name 'yoga nidra' derives from two Sanskrit words: 'yoga,' which means union, and 'nidra,' which means sleep.
