Bring a jar (tumbler? cup? cylinder?) that's kicking around the house and transform it into a premium soy wax candle!
In this workshop, you'll learn how to blend fragrances to create your own unique scent, how to melt and pour candle wax, and how to turn your empty jars into candles in the future. You'll walk away with an 8 oz candle (to be picked up after class) in a piece of your very own pottery. Open to all levels, no prior experience required!
Jar Guidelines: Bring your own! The invitation is to fill a piece of your own pottery with candle wax, but you could also use a piece someone else made or another container you have around. You'll make an 8oz candle, so your jar should be approximately 3.5 in H x 3.5 in W. If it's slightly larger, that's ok, it just won't be filled all the way. Be sure the jar is either ceramic or glass, has thick walls, and has no chips or cracks. All other materials provided!
Important: Though you don't have to add fragrance to your candle, others in the class likely will. Fragrance oil is strong, and the scent carries far; please keep in mind if you are sensitive to smells and bring a mask if desired for more comfort!
