Always wanted to make candles, but weren’t sure where to start? Candle Making 101 is a relaxed, beginner-friendly class designed to give you a solid foundation and the confidence to start making candles on your own.We’ll walk through the basics in a clear, easy-to-understand way—covering candle safety, equipment, wax types, wicks, color, fragrance, jars, vessels, and molds. You’ll learn why each component matters and how to choose the right materials for different types of candles.
Then comes the fun part: hands-on candle making. Each student will make a pillar candle, a container candle, a votive, and a tealight, learning the proper techniques for each style. The projects build on one another, so everything you learn starts to click as you go.
You’ll also learn simple candle math, how to measure wax and fragrance correctly, pouring techniques, cooling tips, and how to perform basic test burns. We’ll touch on labeling basics and share practical tips that help your candles look polished and professional.
All supplies and materials are provided—just bring your curiosity and questions. Class size is limited, so everyone gets individual attention, plenty of hands-on time, and real answers.
You’ll leave with great-smelling candles, practical skills, and the confidence to keep creating at home—whether you’re making candles for fun, gifts, or future business ideas.
