About this Event

You’ll shape a small, illuminated structure — a niche, arch, tower, or protective form — designed to hold a tealight or taper and cast warm shadows as the evenings draw in.

Suitable for all levels, this session focuses on intuitive making, sculptural thinking, and the meditative pace of working with your hands. Your shrine can be symbolic, playful, architectural, organic or devotional — the form is entirely yours. You’ll explore:

  • Pinching, coiling and slab‑building foundations
  • Building small architectural or sculptural forms
  • Creating openings, niches and windows for light
  • Texturing, carving and refining surfaces
  • Adding small details, motifs or pattern

To finish, you’ll choose from our earthenware glaze dips. We will bisque fire, glaze dip, and fire again, then return your finished shrine to you within 4–6 weeks by post.

Proceeds go towards our community art projects, providing mental well-being and creative health, especially for those facing barriers.

If you want to book this for a young person (12yrs+) or come together, please speak to us - we are happy to help.
