In 2022, 33 year old Shannon Olson was diagnosed with breast cancer and she underwent a double mastectomy. She has just recently found out that the cancer has returned and metastasized to her bones. Starting from her skull all the way down to her hip bones. She has completed extensive radiation therapy to help slow the spread of the cancer and ease some of her pain. Currently Shannon is going through hormonal and bone strengthening injections monthly, also recently starting oral chemo daily. Along with many many doctors and PT/OT appointments to come in the future.
Shannon is also a single mom to a busy 14 year old girl named Alaynah. So at this time, Shannon is unable to work due to pain and unable to get around well. All proceeds from the benefit will go directly to Shannon and Alaynah to off-set any medical bills and living expenses.
