In our CanBot Camp: Robotic Can Creation students will have the opportunity to:1. Students reuse everyday materials, such as cans, to create functional robots, promoting sustainability through creative reuse.
2. Practical and functional engineering, students will design and build their own CanBots. In addition to enhancing their practical engineering skills, Arduino programming, sensor integration and remote control functionality.
3. Students will be able to design their CanBots with unique features, such as a head and two arms, unleashing their creativity and customizing their robots according to their preferences.
4. Students will learn through experimentation and exploration "Interactive Learning", engage with sensors and programming concepts in a fun and interactive way.
5. They will experience the thrill of controlling their CanBots with a remote control, they will have the opportunity to test and refine the responsiveness of their robots to different environmental stimuli.
6. Students will face real-world engineering challenges while perfecting the capabilities of their CanBots.
Learn more about the activities they will perform:
Day 1: CanBot Introduction
Introduction to the CanBot project and its components
Hands-on activity: Building and programming an LED blinking circuit in the CanBot’s stomach
Troubleshooting common issues with LED circuits
Day 2: Eye Integration
Introduction to ultrasonic sensors and their use in robotics
Hands-on activity: Integrating ultrasonic sensors to create CanBot’s eye
Programming the eyes to react to objects using sensor data
Day 3: Servo Arms Assembly
Introduction to servo motors and their applications
Hands-on activity: Building and attaching servo motors to CanBot’s body for arm movement
Programming the servo motors to control arm movements
Day 4: Stepper Motor Base Assembly
Introduction to stepper motors and their advantages
Hands-on activity: Building and attaching a stepper motor to CanBot’s base for movement
Programming the stepper motor to control CanBot’s movement
Day 5: Remote Control Integration
Introduction to remote control systems and their implementation
Hands-on activity Integrating sound system and infrared receiverto CanBot
Programming the remote control system to control CanBot’s motors
