About this Event

About the Event

Step deep inside the new play creation process with playwright & cultural worker Goldie E Patrick to experience how her family history set the stage for her newest play.

Come witness excerpts from this new work about love, forgiveness, and the audacity to dream. It is June in 1946 in Hooper City, Alabama and the secrets between the family that the distance has been able to keep quiet, begin to unveil themselves. Will their family survive their own truths? This radical re-imagining is where actual family history sets the stage for the plot, characters and themes.

Folks can join the playwright for a day-long immersive experience on how the world of the play came to life.
