It's the 61st Anniversary of the first of Ken Kesey's Acid Tests, art and music happenings which kicked off the psychedelic era and launched a revolution in culture, art, music and mind. So the Annex Gallery is paying tribute with an Acid Test of our own! We're filling the gallery with psychedelic art (including a black light wall) and a DJ spinning trippy soundscapes and music (mostly by the Grateful Dead, who in their earliest incarnation served as the house band for the original Acid Tests), for a full-on psychedelic, mind-expanding experience!
Also keep an eye out for "Shakedown Street", happening the following weekend (11/21), complete with vendors, eats, and Grateful Dead cover band The Detroit Lightning!
Opening: November 13th, 5-10pm
Shakedown Street: November 21st, 2-10pm
Closing: November 29th, 12-4pm
