About this Event
Cotton farmers from Northeast Brazil and rubber tappers from the Amazon will join Brazilian NGOs Diaconia and SOS Amazônia, alongside VEJA and GIZ - the German Agency for International Cooperation helping us to support producers on the ground - to share what it really means to work with the land, and not against it.
What to expect:
- Why mixing crops is good for the soil… and the people
- How we can reverse deforestation in the Amazon
- And how long-term projects reshape local communities, livelihoods and ecosystems.
No theories, no marketing buzzwords: this panel will share concrete insights into the realities of the people working on the ground, but also how brands and organizations can work together to create long-lasting projects and relationships.
With François-Ghislain Morillion, VEJA co-founder ; José Rodrigues de Araújo, rubber tapper and President of Cooperacre ; Adair Duarte, SOS Amazônia ; Fábio Santiago, Cotton Project Director, Diaconia ; a cotton farmer and a representative from GIZ.
