Campus VFX Summer Intensive: VFX for Filmmakers – Screen Replacement
About this Event
From smartphones to monitors, what we see on filmed screens plays a major role in today’s storytelling.
In this 1-week intensive, you’ll learn how visual effects artists replace and animate screens in live-action footage. Using Nuke, the industry-standard software, you’ll track camera moves in 3D space and replace physical screens with digital content that is part of the filmed story.
This is one of the most common compositing tasks in film and commercial work, and an excellent entry-level technique widely used in filmmaking.
Topics covered: screen tracking, keyframing, color correction, interactive lighting, rotoscoping
Class schedules may be adjusted based on availability and student interest.
