Campo De Cahuenga's Re_Enactment of The Signing of The Treaty of Cahuenga

The Campo de Cahuenga Historical Memorial Association announced that the Re-Enactment of the 178 Anniversary Signing of the Articles of Capitulation will take place on Sunday January 12th 2025 beginning at 12pm. A host of events will mark the celebration at the site of the original Campo de Cahuenga 3919 Lankershim Blvd. Studio City CA. Campo de Cahuenga which is 75 years old is also happy to announce a Ground Breaking Celebration for the upcoming 3 Million Dollar Renovation!

       During the Ceremony we will be honoring Paul Krekorian Los Angeles City Council President Emeritus. Our Grand Marshall is award winning author LA Times Journalist and radio & television commentator Gustavo Arellano. And our Master of Ceremonies is Fritz Coleman Emmy award winning Comedian & NBC Weatherman.

        Please join us for the Re-Enactment as well as a Ground Breaking Celebration for the Campo’s 3 Million Dollar Renovation. It will be an afternoon of entertainment refreshments firing of the Howitzer Cannon and displays of Historical artifacts at original Campo de Cahuenga. Come support the efforts of the Campo de Cahuenga Memorial Historical Association to preserve the history and create a home for the artifacts unearthed during the excavation of the original Campo de Cahuenga.

        Campo de Cahuenga listed on the National Register of Historic Places is the site of the Signing of the Articles of Capitulation ending the Mexican-American War in California. The Campo de Cahuenga is located at 3919 Lankershim Blvd. across from NBC/Universal Studio’s and next door to the Universal City-Studio City MTA Subway Station with parking at the MTA Station site.
