Campaigning for change on Ageism - challenging the invisible "ism"

Age UK London invites you to attend an IN PERSON campaign workshop taking place on TUESDAY 9th June starting at 11am and the venue is Christchurch Blackfriars, 27 Blackfriars Road, London, SE1 8NY which is located on the south side of Blackfriars Bridge.
At this interactive campaign workshop we will explore one of the most overlooked forms of discrimination in society today — ageism. Ageism is often called the “invisible ism” because it can be hidden in everyday language, attitudes, policies, and assumptions. Yet its impact is real — affecting confidence, opportunities, wellbeing, healthcare, employment, and how people feel valued in their communities.

At this workshop, we’ll also be sharing and discussing the findings from Age UK London’s London Against Ageism survey, which captures the experiences, concerns, and voices of older Londoners themselves.

This will be a chance to:

• Share your own experiences and perspectives
• Discuss how we can challenge stereotypes and discrimination
• Help shape future campaigning and action in London
