About this Event
Join us as we celebrate 100 Years together on our campgrounds! This Centennial Event & Open House is available and open to folks of all ages - both those who are new to our community, and those who are looking for time to reconnect at a camp they love.
A donation of $25 is suggested for entry of each adult attending our Centennial & Open House.
As we celebrate 100 years on our current campgrounds, and prepare for 100 more summers of Hochelaga spirit and joy, we're excited to share that we will have videographers on-site for this event. They will be capturing footage from the day, as well as asking for individual interviews. If you do not wish for you (and/or your child) to be included in this, we will have stickers available to wear that will note this for their team. If you have any questions, please contact Christine (Camp Director) at [email protected].
Activities will be open across camp including:
-Guided Camp Tours (for campers and for anyone!)
-Exploring our 100+ year history through our camp LOGs ("yearbooks" essentially), photos, and archived SCAMPs (our weekly newsletter by campers, for campers)
-Archery & Axe Throwing Lessons (*children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult to participate)
-Arts & Crafts (including the opportunity to paint and decorate a birdhouse or fairy house that can be hidden around camp)
-Sports & Games (including pickle ball & gaga ball!)
-Snacks, ceremony, celebration, community & more!
Our complete agenda can be found below.
ARE YOU A HOCHELAGA ALUM? We would love to also invite you to an Alumnae Reunion at camp on JUNE 5 prior to our Centennial and Open House. All alums are invited to join us for the afternoon on June 5 (2pm - 6pm**), and alums who would like to sleepover the night at camp are invited to do so (seperate ticket option from Centennial & Open House).
A donation of $50 is suggested per person attending our Alum Overnight.
If you have any questions please contact our Camp Director, Christine ([email protected])
*includes former campers and staff from Hochelaga at any point in time.
**Friday dinner will be served at 6pm. To ensure we have enough of the planned meal for the evening (with dietary options as requested ahead of time), please select our Alum Overnight option so we can best prepare for your visit. We will have room to join if folks arrive at camp earlier and want to extend their day.

Anyone who would like to join our Camp Director as we install new birdhouses to this space (located on the path from middler line to the front gate). If there is a camp alum who's passed who you would like to sponsor a birdhouse for, please complete the form via the following link to be included in our 2026 installation: https://lp.constantcontactpages.com/sl/jeagqmq/alumbirdhouses

Free Time & Activities Across Camp

Activities that will be open will include: Contributing to a community art project which will be installed at camp over the summer to celebrate our 2026 theme* Rainbows (arts & crafts); pickleball (sports courts); axe throwing (field at the top of the hill). (*Themes were introduced to camp in summer 2024, "Butterfly Summer." Themes relate to our values at camp, and are intended to inspire class creation each season to support continued offerings of unique programming. "Rainbows" is a theme suggested by one of our 2025 upper-mids who shared their reasoning for the theme as "each camper and person is unique and wonderful in their own special way, and then when we all come together we create something beautiful - like a rainbow.")
