Camp Curly is a safe space to embrace, explore and empower our natural selves using Beauty to connect with STEAM.

Welcome to Camp Curly Colorado: Spring Break Cherry Creek! Get ready for a fun-filled week of activities, workshops, and bonding with fellow curly-haired individuals. Join us at the Lowry Conference Center starting on Mon March 16, 2026 at 09:00 AM. This in-person event will be a great opportunity to embrace your natural curls, learn new styling techniques, and connect with others who share your curly hair struggles and triumphs. Don't miss out on this exciting event!

Camp Curly is a 5 day experience for young girls to grow their confidence in their own hair maintenance, STEAM career and activity exploration while building their self esteem.

There will be two field trips off site and return to Lowry Conference Center.

Three age ranges:

Bantu Knots 6-8

Afro Puffs 9-11

Frohawks 12-15

Camp day begins at 9 AM-3:00 PM (early drop off available on limited basis)

Each day there are rotations and sessions highlighting how Hair, Beauty and STEAM are connected.

Specific time to create and explore in multiple spaces:

Curly Salon

Curly Store

Curly Classroom

*Campers can purchase a Stay Curly Commandment Kit which includes:

Tshirt, Detangle tool, Water Bottle, Hair Spray Bottle, and other items supporting their week of activities!

Activities may include:

Learning how hair porosity impacts the health of hair and what to do with products

Identifying curl pattern/texture/density/

Make flax seed hair gel

Make hair refresher

DNA extraction

DIY Makeup Activities

Presentations from guest speakers

2-5 Hair maintenance techniques
