A creative arts day camp for students entering 1st to 6th grade. During this camp, your student will spend focused energy on developing their craft. Each discipline will be divided into a color group. Students will develop deep, meaningful connects with students in their color group. Disciplines include drum core, voice, dance, cooking, drama, and filmmaking.9:00-9:30 Sign In and Group Welcome
An adult will greet your student and invite them to join their color team. All of our adults have been background checked, and they are there to ensure your student is safe during their Camp Create experience.
9:30 Large Group Meeting
A compelling SEL lesson during the Large Group Meeting will inspire students. This lesson will be focused on developing grit and perseverance in their craft.
10:00 Large Group Color Games
Your student will be on a color team. During this time, students will compete in large group games.
10:15 Craft & Snack
Your student will perform a craft to support the SEL lesson from earlier in the day. The craft time will be followed by a healthy snack to power them through their day.
10:45 Color Groups
Color Groups will break up into discipline-specific groups to begin their focused instruction. Each instructor is an expert in their field of study. We are offering Voice, Film Making, Dance, and Drum Core this year. Even if your student does not have a background in these areas, they will develop their natural musical and artistic gifts.
12:00 Large Group Meeting
After the discipline-specific training, students will return to their color groups to recap and “rap” the day.
12:30 Camp Dismissal
Your registration fee includes all activities, teachings, crafts, snacks, and even a shirt for the camp.
