The Mother’s Day Classic is a nationwide event that brings communities together to raise awareness and funds for vital breast and ovarian cancer research. With your support, we can continue to fund important initiatives that will have a lasting impact on the lives of those affected by these diseases. The CAMDEN 4KM WALK and 5KM RUN aims to unite local families, friends, and colleagues in a fun, memorable, and meaningful way, while helping to fund life-saving research.3 local Breast Cancer Survivors form the Camden MDC Committee. Sara, Jess & Kelly are committed to creating a memorable Mother's Day morning for families, that’s raises as much awareness and as many funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, as well as Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (as of 2024), while acknowledging the incredible local businesses supporting this cause.
The last 3 years, together as a community we have raised in excess of $215,000 and we are so thankful for that support!
This year we continue to wrap our arms around Ovarian Cancer as well and raise money for Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation. Why? Because each day, 12 women lose their lives to these two cancers. And that’s a tragedy we are committed to stopping.
Come down to Rotary Cowpasture Reserve (Softball Macarthur Grounds) on Mother’s Day morning for breakfast and coffee from 8:30 am. Enjoy the beautiful singers and local stall holders. Just before the run and walk, we pay tribute to those who have bravely fought, continue to fight or have passed away from Breast & Ovarian Cancer. The walk will then start with our “Stronger Together” survivors wave.
From 9am, the 5km run will start and from 9:30 am enjoy a beautiful 4km walk along the Camden Bike Track. Return to Rotary Cowpasture Reserve for a BBQ lunch cooked by Next Gen Rotary and family friendly entertainment including a Jumping Castle, Face Painting, a surprise performance and as well as performances from local dance schools and Tee-Ball games. Enjoy the various food stalls and stroll through the Mother’s Day Gift Stalls.

To top it off, you can have some beautiful Mother’s Day photos with your family, taken by our professional photographer.
