South Carolina’s Palmetto Regiment was formed in June 1846. The Regiment fought valiantly in the Mexican-American War and was the first regiment to enter Mexico City in September 1847. Join Camden Archives & Museum with your lunch to learn more about this celebrated regiment that fought in a often overlooked war in history books. Joe Long, Curator of Education at the Confederate Relic Room and Military Museum will lead what is sure to be an enlightening Chat & Chew.
