Cambridgeshire Ghosts

History or Hysteria?
For our next history group session, we are diving deep into the shadows of Cambridgeshire’s past. Beyond the stunning architecture and world-changing discoveries lies a history stained by tragedies, curses, and things that go bump in the night.
From the historic walls of the university colleges to the windy, misty roads of the Fens, our county has some of the spine-chillingly best ghost lore in the UK. Here’s a quick teaser of what we’ll be uncovering:
The Window That Must Never Close: Why does an upstairs window at The Eagle pub stay open in freezing winter and pouring rain? (Hint: Try closing it, and you might just lose your breath...)
The Dark Secret of Christ’s College: The tragic love triangle that ended in a drowning, a lifetime of guilt, and a spirit that still stalks the garden on a full moon.
The Fenland "Crossing of Death": The chilling, remote level crossing where phantom cars still crunch across the gravel decades after the road was closed.
Find out more at the Old Willingham meeting on Monday the 29th June at 7.30pm in the Social Club £5 cash or card on the door to cover the cost of the room.

Have you ever had a spooky encounter at a local Cambridge landmark, or is it all just folklore and overactive imaginations? Let’s hear your stories!
