A warm welcome to all our attendees and followers after the summer break. We are extremely excited to be announcing our first forum back in this new academic year. We are thrilled to have a fantastic line up for you on the theme of Traumatic Brain Injury, with two extremely credible speakers. Up first is Dr Adriana Cordier, who will be delivering her talk entitled “Traumatic brain injury. The second the clock starts ticking.”
Adriana is a consultant in Neuro Trauma Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine at Addenbrookes Hospital, as well as working as a prehospital doctor at Magpas Air Ambulance. She has extensive experience in delivery of care to patients who have suffered a traumatic brain injury both at the roadside and in the intensive care, and will share her wisdom with you about the things that you can consider in the early phase of care in order to give your patient the best chance of a good recovery.
Our second speaker is Laurie Phillipson, a Critical Care Paramedic, EHAAT Clinical Manager and Research Fellow within the Centre for Excellence at EHAAT in traumatic brain injury. Laurie has a wealth of prehospital experience and is now leading the way with regards to novel advanced techniques for monitoring in serious head injury, which forms the basis of his ongoing PhD.
Laurie's talk is entitled ‘Tech in TBI’- Exploring the feasibility of non-invasive neuro screening tools in prehospital care.
These talks promise to be fascinating, and from real experts in the field. Don't miss out on this free educational event.
