Calligraphy, Music & Mandarin Meetup

Step away from the rush of the city and enjoy an evening of art, music, language, and connection. From October 2026 through May 2027, China Institute’s Calligraphy, Music & Mandarin Meetup returns for a new season, bringing together three engaging ways to experience Chinese culture in one evening.

This month, enjoy live performances featuring guzheng (古筝), pipa (琵琶), and Chinese percussion. Pick up a brush and explore Chinese calligraphy with guidance from a master calligrapher. All materials are provided, and beginners are welcome.

During intermission, join our Mandarin Language Table for relaxed conversation and practice. Whether you are just starting out or already fluent, everyone is welcome.

Enjoy tea and light refreshments, meet fellow culture lovers, and make new connections.

This program is presented in partnership with the US China Music Institute of the Bard College Conservatory of Music.
