The Harlin Museum will be taking entries for the annual Spring Art Show. This year, we are inviting high school students to enter their work in this show. Entry dates: Thursday, March 20-Sunday March 23; noon to 4pmShow dates: March 29-April 26 2025
Entry Fee: 1 painting - $20.00, 2 paintings - $30.00, 3 paintings - $35.00, 4 paintings - $40. Students: $5 per piece. Make check payable to the Harlin Museum. Limit: 4 paintings.
Categories: All two dimensional art will be accepted into the show. (We will have a 3D show in June.) Categories will be determined according to the entries received and could include the following: painting, drawing, mixed media/collage, print making.
Competition Prizes: Best of Show $100. Each category: 1st place $75.00, 2nd place $50.00, and 3rd place $25.00 awards with ribbons; A people’s choice ribbon, voted by attendees. In addition, Memorial Awards, Purchase Awards, and Artistic Encouragement Awards may be presented by West Plains businesses and community members.
Guidelines: Artwork must be original works of the entered artist. No Copies. All work must have been completed in the last 2 years and not previously shown in any of the Harlin Museum's competition art show exhibits. All work must be either framed or 1.25" gallery wrapped canvas with wire and eye-screws for hanging. No Saw-tooth Hangers. All acrylic and oils must be dry. Watercolor, ink, graphics, and pastel (all works on paper) must be under glass/Plexiglas. No snap together plastic frames.
Any subject that can be presented to younger children is acceptable.
Size Limit: 36 X 48 inches.
