About this Event
Held for the first time at our satellite location in Montecito Heights. Los Nogales Nursery, a partnership with Audubon Center at Debs Park.
Learn how to grow native plants in pots to enhance your door step, balcony or patio. In fact, a vast array of native plants will grow happily in containers. Potted native plants will add texture and color to your garden or terrace, as well as habitat for birds, butterflies and native bees.
Get tips and tricks for finding your container materials on a budget. This informative presentation will be held indoors with an outdoor component that includes a live potting demonstration. Culminating with an optional walk & talk through our nursery to meet the plants that do well in pots.
This class will be held outdoors in a shaded area. We still ask guests to wear closed-toe shoes, bring water and sun protection .
Terrence Williams is the Nursery Technician at Theodore Payne Foundation. He is passionate toward making botanical knowledge accessible to all by helping people of various skill levels and backgrounds to get started with gardening.
