California Coastal Cleanup Day: Help Cleanup Crooked Palm
About this Event
Celebrate California Coastal Cleanup Day with us!
Our newly acquired Crooked Palm Property, a 101-acre site located just a mile south of Foster Park, has been subject to decades of trash dumping and illegal camping. Join us in an effort to prevent this trash from flowing into the Ventura River this winter by putting on some gloves and coming out to the preserve.
Date: Saturday, September 19th
Time: 9 AM - 12 PM
Location: 4777 Crooked Palm Road, Ventura
- Gloves & trash bags will be provided
- Volunteers are required to wear closed-toed shoes, long pants, a long-sleeve shirt, and bring their own sun protection and water
- Please note: this involves intensive manual labor, including collection and disposal of heavily accumulated trash like mattresses, couches, tables, etc. We will have options to cleanup lighter weight debris.
