Monday Evening: The program is a Fashion Show, 100 Years of Garden Clubbing, 1920s-2020s. Please dress up for the fashion show and wear a hat or fascinator that you made at the 2:00-3:0p.m. workshop on Monday. The presenter for the fashion show is, Cherie Oliver, owner of the Yesteryear Sierra, and VP of Chicago Park Garden Club. Cherie will narrate us through the garden years with nine authentic Vintage Outfits worn by her models. This is a fantastic program and I know everyone will enjoy it. Tuesday Lunch: Our lunch program is highlighting one of our CGCI State Projects and updating us on Black Point Historic Gardens. This is a great opportunity for us to catch up on how the garden is doing and their future. Our speaker will be, Natalie Korengold, Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy. Tuesday Evening: Is The Awards Banquet and it’s time to celebrate all our districts, clubs and members who have won awards from many different categories. Please join me and Pat Clayes as we celebrate CGCI Awards Night and all the winners.
Wednesday Evening: Calling all Floral Designers and anyone who loves flowers. Wednesday night is design night, and we have a very special program for everyone, presented by our new board member and the webmaster and photographer for OFAD (Organization of Floral Art Designers). If you have ever been to OFAD, you would know how lucky we are to have Brad Welles presenting Eye Catching Designs: A Passion for the Unusual. Even if you are not a floral designer, I promise you won’t want to miss this program. It promises to be a magical night for all and our last night together as we bring a close to California Garden Clubs, Inc. 92 Convention .
