Calgary Bluesfest presents Toronto's award winning vocalist Raoul Bhaneja and the Cross Canada Blues, including Edmonton’s Graham Guest (keyboards) and Calgary's Greg "Junior” Demchuk (guitar).Raoul Bhaneja is a Gemini, Dora and Canadian Comedy Award nominee as well as a Maple Blues Award-winning actor and musician. The talented vocalist and harmonica man has been leader of the popular Raoul and the Big Time band for over two decades. Most recently, Raoul can be seen in his acting work as Commander Kelrec on Star Trek: Starfleet Academy.
Calgary Bluesfest presents Cross Canada Blues featuring three front men backed by a great rhythm section; Toronto’s award winning vocalist and harmonica player Raoul Bhaneja, Edmonton’s Graham Guest (keyboards) and Calgary’s Greg “Junior” Demchuk (guitar)!
Raoul Bhaneja is a Canadian Screen, Gemini, Dora and Canadian Comedy Award nominee as well as a Maple Blues Award-winning actor and musician. The talented vocalist and harmonica man has been leader of the popular Raoul and the Big Time band for over twenty five years, who appeared last played in Calgary at Bluesfest as part of "Harps of Gold" and as an actor in Hamlet (solo) with The Shakespeare Company at Vertigo. On screen Raoul can be seen in his acting work as Commander Kelrec on Star Trek: Starfleet Academy on Paramount+ and the hit comedy series The Trades on Crave.
Graham Guest is a blues hall of fame inductee,songwriter and Maple Blues Award nominated artist based in Edmonton, Canada.
As a pianist and singer Graham has performed live around the world and on countless recordings. The new Graham Guest Band has been promoting their latest collection Tragic Magic with a live follow up recording set for release.
Greg "Junior" Demchuk is Calgary based blues guitar wizard, founding member of Canada's The Twisters and one time member of the legendary outfit The Rockin' Highliners. With his band The Du-Rite Aces he continues his near thirty year career of impressing audiences coast to coast with his retro drenched guitar stylings and powerful vocals.
They are joined by Chris Brezecki (Calgary) on upright bass and Jeff Lisk (Edmonton) on drums.
