Caldwell 4th of July Parade

Bring your golden retriever and come join us for our 4th year in Caldwell's 4th of July Parade! 2024 we estimated we had around 60 golden retrievers and their handlers join us (some even from other states!). 2025 the rain/thunder storm kept our numbers lower. 2026 we are looking forward to topping 2024!! We'd love to have as many Goldens and their owners join us as possible again this year! 🐾
When/Where: July 4th. The parade line-up information will come out closer to the date.
We are in the most Patriotic division.
What do we do during the parade? The entire route is a slow walk of about 1.5 miles (lots of stops) and takes around 1.5-2 hours. Additionally, we'll be providing some pawprint stickers to pass out along the route. You are welcome to bring stickers as well.
As we walk, goldens that like being petted can veer towards the sides of the road to receive lots of attention, and those who simply enjoy being admired from afar can stay in the middle of the street. The dogs have an excellent ability for seeking out parade goers who could use a little extra TLC.
How you can help: Anyone is welcome to join us, so please share as much as possible, and invite all the goldens you know! Liking and sharing the event helps to spread the word on Facebook, as does marking yourself as "going" or "interested." If you have another breed of dog who doesn't want to be left out--bring them too, Friends of Goldens are welcome!
