Calderdale FREE Wellbeing Ride along the Towpaths (adults 16yrs+)
About this Event
West Yorkshire Combined Authority's FREE adult cycle training programme and guided rides aims to enable more people to travel by bike. Sessions run every Saturday until mid-October, except bank holiday weekends.
Anyone aged 16yrs and over is able to attend. You can choose to use your own bike, or one will be provided for you. These rides set off from, and return to, Project Colt on Elland Bridge, where and there are toilet facilities and a cafe for a coffee and snack.
Our Saturday rides are run by two qualified cycling instructors who will meet you in the cafe at Project Colt before going on to collect bikes and helmets. The rides will set off along the towpath and will either head towards Brighouse, Sowerby Bridge or the Hebble Trail up Salterhebble. There may be small on-road sections and the ride leaders will guide you through these sections and manage any traffic there may be.
All our rides are free and you can attend as many as you wish. However, we ask if that if you can't attend, please come back to Eventbrite and cancel your place because we always have a waiting list of people wanting to attend.
