About this Event
Alumni and friends are invited to celebrate Cal Poly’s founding from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 7, at Love & Exile Bar (715 Main St A, Nashville, TN 37206).
Cal Poly’s story began March 8, 1901, when Gov. Henry Gage signed legislation creating the university after a successful grassroots effort led by journalist Myron Angel and local supporters.
This Founders Day, we’re celebrating 125 years of Learn by Doing and Mustang pride. Come mix and mingle with alumni and friends, show off your green and gold, and enjoy remarks from a member of the Cal Poly Alumni Association Board of Directors.
The event is free to attend, but registration is requested to ensure an accurate head count for this year’s limited-edition Cal Poly Founders Day swag. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. The event is open to Cal Poly alumni and supporters of all ages.
Space is limited. Registration closes on Thursday, March 5 or when full. We hope to see you there!
