After a life-changing brain injury and the loss of her parents, Michigan musician Caitlin Cusack found healing through songwriting, creating inspiring, piano-driven ballads and pop anthems that share her resilient journey of turning pain into purpose.Caitlin Cusack got her start in the choir loft of Saints Peter and Paul and built a strong foundation in music in the IHS Band and Vocal Music programs, finding a passion for performance in Young Peoples' Theatre and Ionia Community Theatre. She went on to earn a music degree from Grand Valley State University and study with Tony Award–winning teachers in New York City. She has been known to many in West Michigan as a performer, composer, voice teacher, theatre director, and music director. Her original music, "The You Carry Me Project," with music videos showcasing the city of Ionia and Ionia Community Awareness, earned the WYCE Radio Jammie Award for Best Pop Album. Caitlin also delivered a TEDx Talk inspired by her journey through brain injury recovery and grief and recently released a live album recorded at the Grand Rapids Art Museum. Don't miss her live performance at the Fundraiser Concert for the Ionia Theatre on April 30th, where she'll bring a full band to the stage for a night of original music and familiar favorites.
