CAFRE Food Courses Taster Day

If you’re thinking about pursuing a Food qualification, attend a Food Courses Taster Day at CAFRE – Loughry Campus, Cookstown on Tuesday 11 November 2025 from 9.30am to 2.45pm.

After GCSE study, CAFRE offers Level 3 Extended Diploma’s in Food Technology and Nutrition and Food Technology and Science, which are an excellent alternative to A Levels.

After A level (or equivalent study) CAFRE offers a BSc (Hons) Degree in Food Innovation Management with pathways in Nutrition and Technology. A Foundation Degree in Food Innovation and Technology course offers the opportunity to study on a two year pathway to a Honours Degree course or employment. Higher Level Apprenticeship in Food and Drink Manufacture. Food and Drink Academy.

Our degree programmes are subject to revalidation this autumn by Ulster University. The Honours Degree course can be studied over three or four years, depending on length of work placement chosen.
