About this Event
Cafe Meryenda is a Filipino-led pop up serving classic Filipino flavors in a cozy coffee-shop style.
Looking for late night snacks after all the cafes are closed? Our April 25th event will launch a monthly series of evening cafes celebrating the resilience and fluidity of Filipino-American identity in the diaspora. Come relax, chat, and enjoy this month's curated selection of food and drink starting at 5PM until we run out!
Cafe Meryenda is hosted by Panethnic Pourovers (PEPO), a Filipino-owned library and third space in Quincy. PEPO runs a wide variety of community-oriented programs, including:
- A library which includes titles centered on BIPOC (particularly AAPI) and LGBTQ+ identities
- A safe place for local students to study
- A monthly open-to-all community education series on radical and liberatory politics and philosophy
- Queer and AAPI social events
A portion of the profits from this will be put towards keeping PEPO and its community programs active. We encourage folks to stick around during open hours, explore the space and its resources, and connect with other attendees!
To ensure enough stock for all attendees to try items, this is a ticketed event. Please reserve tickets through Eventbrite. Tickets are valid for the full duration of the cafe and include unlimited reentry.
