Salzoneros… are you ready to experience the magic of SALZÓN?!
Who says you have to wait until nighttime to dance?
Café con Salzón is bringing salsa, sazón & cafecito into the daylight with a daytime salsa social created to bring our community together through movement, music, connection, and supporting our local coffee shops.
For this edition of Salzón, we are so excited to partner with Petite Lucie, a new coffee shop located right in Market Square Park in Downtown Houston!
Come take a salsa class, grab your favorite coffee or matcha, dance under the Houston sky, meet new people, and spend your Saturday afternoon with a little extra SALZÓN.

Whether this is your very first salsa step or you already know how to bring the sazón to the dance floor — you are welcome here.

Your beginner salsa class will be instructed by Salsera DulceBossmom alongside dance partner and Rice University Salsa Instructor Michael Peron.
Together, they’ll break down the fundamentals in a fun, approachable way, including:
Beginner salsa footwork
Salsa shines
Partner fundamentals
Beginner-friendly couples combination
Minors must be accompanied by adults
Never danced salsa before? PERFECT. Come exactly as you are. No experience and no dance partner necessary!
WHAT TO WEAR:
Think outdoor casual meets fitness. Wear something comfortable that lets you MOVE because, Salzoneros… get ready to sweat!
Tennis shoes, flats, and other comfortable shoes are highly recommended. Market Square Park has concrete and gravel surfaces, so…

PARKING
Self-parking options are available around Market Square Park, including street parking and nearby parking garages.
Garage parking fees may apply.
Give yourself a little extra time to park, grab your cafecito, and get ready to dance!
