Join AMBC Joy Ride for a vehicle-free Wednesday ride at Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains!! Grab a friend or make some new ones at this event for female, female-identifying, and non-binary riders. Joy Ride is here to help ladies feel comfortable in the woods (or this case, Cade's Cove!). No one gets left behind, and everyone leaves with a big smile.
Cades Cove is a popular 11 mile loop road in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (GSMNP). Note that there are steep hills on the loop (OK to walk your bike if needed!) and you will likely NOT have cell service at the park. There is a $5 GSMNP parking fee and carpooling is recommended.
This ride is free (other than your Great Smoky Mountain $5 parking fee) but please register by Sunday, July 12th. This helps us ensure we have enough volunteers and supplies.
Bring your helmet, shoes, ride snacks, water, a spare tube if you have one, and a way to carry it on your ride. Please arrive by 6:00 PM for sign-in and note that you will likely NOT have cell service once near the park. We will send out an email beforehand with our exact meeting location to start the ride.
